All the familiar comfort of a classic banoffee pie, with the wonderfully complex flavours of gula melaka* running throughout!

Crème pâtissière and caramelised banana sandwiched between two layers of a decadent gula melaka sponge cake and coated in gula melaka buttercream, topped with a generous sprinkling of almond brittle.

We would recommend removing from the refrigerator 20 minutes or so before serving, as this cake is best enjoyed at room temperature.

Kit Contents

Each kit contains a single 6″ round cake, which would comfortably feed 4 – 6 people

*Gula Melaka is a variety of palm sugar originating from the Malaysian state of Malacca (“gula” being the Malay word for “sugar”). The labour intensive process of producing it from the flower buds of the coconut palm results in a deeply complex flavour profile familiar to any Malaysian.

Preparation Directions

Remove from refrigerator 20 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy with your favourite hot drink!
